Racing (See also our new section on Cruising below) Frequently raced boats are the Dart 18, RS200, RS400 Laser (full, Radial and 4.7), Laser 2000, Topper, Mirror, Optimist dinghies. However, we run a full programme of handicap racing for both catamaran and mono-hull fleets. During the season there are various catamaran and mono-hull open meetings organised. The main event of the season is the 'Anglesey Offshore Dinghy Race', a long distance event for both catamarans and mono-hulls. This is sailed from Beaumaris to Traeth Bychan and is usually held on the first Sunday of the Menai Straits Regatta Fortnight. Click on 'Members' for this year's sailing programme. Cruising Oliver Shaw is again organising a week's cruising in 2008. Depending on weather and tides this will take place during the last week of August, Monday 25th - Saturday 30th. Check the board in the club-house and provisionally meet at 10am each day.
