Safe Guarding

Safeguarding and Welfare of Children and Vulnerable Adults

Red Wharf Bay Sailing and Watersports Club and the members of the General Committee are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all members and visitors to share this commitment.

An enhance Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required of all our members who regularly support the training of our junior sailors or other club activities for younger members.  A central record is kept in the clubhouse of all DBS checked members.

We take guidance from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and all policies and practices for Safeguarding and Codes of Conduct are agreed by the General Committee and updated regularly and as necessary.  All policies are displayed in the clubhouse.

If you have any concerns about the welfare of children, young people or vulnerable adults at our club please contact our Club Welfare Officer or talk to a member of our General committee.
